Austin’s Complete 98A 141D2 was purchased from Mike Burtin at the Genetrust sale at Chimney Rock in November, 2017. Complete was sired by JAK 98A, the bull that Ken Hughes raised that was second high selling bull at the 2014 Genetrust sale at Suhn Cattle Company. Semex purchased him and is selling his semen worldwide. The dam is from the 141 cow family which is highly fertile and easy keeping. We selected him based on his pedigree, his phenotype, and the balanced EPDs that he records. When you study this bull and critique him, you see that he is big footed and very sound in his structure with a very desirable sheath design. Complete has the muscle definition of an athlete. It is impressive that Complete had a 205 day weaning weight of 747 pounds and then continued his growth and had a 1391 pound 365 day weight which translates to a 4# ADG. He also has an adjusted ribeye of 15.57. These are a few of the reasons that Ken selected this bull and wanted to name him “Complete”. Ken has used his semen in his own cows as well as nearly everyone’s herd that he works with. Semen is available.
